I know few people pirate on TV but for those who do you may find this info interesting. Even people who have fun with Part15 TV broadcasting for campgrounds and such... http://bellard.org/dvbt/
From what I have read there is software to now convert analog TV to DTV signals. So now you can take your analog composite signal and get a DTV output to run into a transmitter.
I haven't read the whole thing yet as I am busy but it sure looks like a hot lead for small time TV stations and pirates using that medium.
I have thought about broadcasting on TV for a long time for fun since a lot of people in my town still have the old antenna sets. Heck even the Jail here has basic antenna boobtubes lol. So this may be of interest. Just because they converted to DTV for the big guys doesn't mean pirating on TV is not possible anymore for us little guys.
Enjoy.

RV-Trailer Parks, as well as campgrounds where people can't get DTV, would be a great place to set up an undocumented TV station. PCS has transmitters at low cost too.
Steve www.xrqkfm.com Finally banned from Radio Info!

Now that is really interesting, I didn't know that it is actually that easy and cheap. I may try it sometime and post the results here

Interesting! I've also thought about connecting vga card to antenna to make something like a very low power SW beacon after seeing this... http://www.erikyyy.de/tempest/ But I didn't know it could generate proper DTV signals too.
