do i buy a hd/uhf/vhf antenna and set on a pole? then it is coxael I would need a radio antenna male by coaxel connector what is that connector called.? what type antenna do i need? and thirdly, a mouse bit the antenna wire..how to CORRECTLY reattach the braided wire i just twisted it and taped the s crap out of it
I have always heard those connectors referred to as a "motorola connector". You can use a regular car antenna up on a pole or split the end of the coax inner connector and braid and attach a 2.5' wire to each to make a basic dipole "T" antenna you can hang up in the air. They do make adapters to convert from the car radios motorola connector to something else that is more usable, like a PL239 or a TV antenna coax "F" style connector and then just hook up some TV rabbit ears which will work incredibly well.
