Here is a small example of what you can do with a little imagination, a 'repurposed' 19" Rack Mount Gutted Cabinet, a salvaged thrift store Laptop Computer DC Power Supply, a surplus Cyclone Directed Port High CFM Muffin Fan and a homebrew 80 Watt RF Amplifier Brick. The RF Amplifier Brick utilizes a MaCom MRF173 MOSFET and is fully panel adjustable with a RF output range from 0-80 Watts output using very little RF drive, approximately 2.3 Watts RF input and 28 VDC @ 6 Amp power supply will deliver 80 Watts over the entire FM Broadcast Band ! Not shown in the image attachment is the, as yet to be obtained, Low Pass Filter. Just some encouragement for beginners on a budget and 'food for thought' ! Left Click on inserted picture to enlarge:
