I'm looking for all opinions as to what could help our forum out. I know we've had low activity for a while now but the quality posts are still going up thanks to long time members who invest the time to write information and their current ideas and activities.
Anything at all that comes to your mind I'll appreciate all input. I do not judge regardless as this is a place for freedom of speech and an open place for all types in the radio broadcasting hobby.
Hoping some of you will at least take some time to touch on this question given the work I've done here. I really do appreciate all points of view to make our community better and thrive.
In all seriousness just about every US based forum I frequent for pirate radio or even general hobbyist radio activity is becoming lackluster in new posts recently. Might have been because of summer since that is usually when most of this stuff gets the least activity. I guess people are just busy with outside life.
I will always keep our forum alive here regardless since there is a lot of educational content that users have posted. If I knew some way to get more people interested in joining I would which is one of the main reasons I created this thread.
Always looking for constructive replies and ideas. This place was never meant to compete with HFU or other well known message boards. There is much more FM broadcasting talk here where HFU is usually SW focused for example.
I try to encourage unique discussion here so not to be another clone forum but everyone is free to direct the place as it grows.
Kage, It's not just these Free radio forums but radio forums all over! People are just taking a side step from radio at the moment as they been lockdown for awhile and as things open up they want to get out there.
Just hang in the there bud!
Just joined up so haven't fully looked over this forum but give people info, resources and possible help with receiving or even small radio projects.
Start your own Youtube channel with quick help guides and point them here for detailed information.

I have posted here a few times without any answers maybe no one is knowledgeable to my questions on antennas and starting a station.
To keep this forum going/moving it would be nice to get some help in getting answers in a timely manner. Its been 2 weeks and no answers for me.
If I knew anything about getting a station going I would be happy to help but Im not in that position at this time.
Maybe you could get some of the best knowledge on setting up a station and see if you could get them to help.
I think it would make this forum much better knowing you will get an answer soon and not weeks if there is an answer to any ones questions.

This place goes through its phases of activity. Other pirate forums and chats are having a lack of usage lately and this has come up before usually around the same time of year when people are active outside instead of cooped up at their workbench. I mean just look at the OP date/month
It doesn't help that our forum is more on the niche side of pirate broadcasting because we tend to get most of the US FM technical discussions and occasionally medium wave here instead of shortwave where HFU usually gets their logs and active posts from.
Even if we don't get new posts/replies all the time there is still a great wealth of information here to dig through and everyone is free to make new threads or revive old posts if need be.
I try to stir up interest when I can but I'm only one person amongst many here in this community.

I hear you on the other post to read I have done that but nice to get an answer to questions. And yes on the summer time slowdown I have my electronic business and every summer sales slow down which is good for me i get to do some outdoor activities. Im here in Boston Ma area and we have no more oldies stations and I have done for the last 10 years to do a Internet oldies 50s 60s 70s live with call in request or Facebook messenger for oldies. Do about 3-4 hour shows and was hoping to put up on the FM broadcast band a few time just to toy around.I know there are chances of getting caught but hope the FCC will look the other way as my music and show is family oriented to just good clean fun. If they send a letter to stop thats it i will disconnect and just do my Internet show. Well lets hope other members chime in with some good input/Ideas to help this forum come alive.
