Hi - I've been interested in pirate radio for quite some time. Lack of extra cash has been keeping me from actually diving into it. I look forward to posting here, and hopefully contrubuting something worthwhile. I recently saw Pump Up the Volume for the first time and it re-sparked my interest. Pretty cool 80s flick, you should watch it if you haven't.

Hi. Welcome to the forums. You don't need a ton of money to get started in pirate radio. Real pirate radio isn't exactly like that movie but it was a good movie . You can get setup pretty easy on FM or SW broadcasting. FM is great if you want to broadcast music and do a community thing, Short Wave is the classic way to go as people around the globe can tune in who really want to try and listen into pirates.
Take some time and look around on the forums. There is a lot of information around here on how to get started. Read read and then read some more. Knowledge is what is needed first. Best of luck.
