Looking for a suitable Antenna

I am looking for a proper transmitter antenna for my pirate station right now I just made my own, but suspect a more professional option will expand range.

Will this dipole function as a transmitter?

I noticed it's marketed as a RX antenna, not TX.Will it make any difference?
