Just for the hams who are cool We added a ham radio forum to our message board since I myself am also getting a license also soon enough. Though a lot of hams and pirates won't admit this, we do have a lot in common. We both love radio electronics, we love radio for everything it was and can be. Radio is a wonderful tool and hobby and both of us share this. Though hams are strict of rules for good reason, and pirates are the opposite for YES good reason we are one of the same but two different perspectives. So lets unite and make this a cool forum to chat about these things. No need to get angry or tame. Lets keep all equal here. It would be a first for sure lol

Indeed! To further the development of efficient communications. Over that, I think hams and us can meet on common ground
Jon here, AKA Dr. Fysh. DarkLife invited me here and it's a cool forum you guys got goin'. Just wanted to kinda introduce myself and make my first post. I agree that hams and pirate radio jockeys (or ANY radio enthusiasts) are certainly quite alike. It's all about the love of the radio, man, hehe. Be it to broadcast your own shows to your pals or community, or to talk to people around the world, or to built your own radio equipment and other electronics projects, it all about the love of the hobby. And anyone who can geek out when talking about their gear or how much power they're cranking out or their awesome new antenna certainly have a lot in common to talk about! ;D
As you may have guessed, I myself am a Ham (N3RZS - on the air in Southern New Jersey). I got my Technician No-Code license back in '94 when i was 14. So I'm pretty much a full-on radio geek, hehe. I don't get on near as much as i used to, but I still enjoy radio a lot. I highly recommend y'all check into getting your license, you don't need to learn Morse code anymore, and the written tests are mostly general electronics and radio questions that most of you guys would prolly already know a lot of. Anyways, feel free to ask me any questions you'd like about Ham Radio or the testing or licensing or whatnot. I'd be glad to help any fellow radio enthusiasts!
Well, now I've introduced myself and blabbed a bit, heh, so I'll get goin. I'll be chattin with y'all in the future, I'm sure
