I only use ONE playlist in my singular broadcast. VLC lets me add about 30,000 audio clips in which consists of the entire library shuffled together into one playlist.
I think that about 30,000 audio clippings should be the maximum of anybody's playlist because I know that WMP also known as Windows Media Player currently only lets you add about 18,000 audio clips into one single playlist but unlike VLC WMP lets you create multiple playlists and save them, but I prefer using my entire library because I am not good at creating playlists and picking and choosing what to broadcast.
My Phlophocy is? well there is other broadcasters with the Same SONGS as myself. I only broadcast under one station and because there are other broadcasters out there?
I figure that 30,000 audio clips should be maximum for anybody's playlist on one single channel. not only does not every song in this universe go together, I figure nobody is ever going to hear and remember every single song on my radio station even though I get many random unknown listeners a day thanks to a Christian Facebook page I also run combined with 2 gamer forums and probably this forum now as well.
I run a mostly Classic Rock and metal station but it contains all of the following genres
I recommend the following genres be most of you guy's playlists since there are not that many other broadcasters out their with most of the following genres in their playlists
JAZZ, BLUES, CLASSICAL, MOST MODERN METAL, DISCO, GRUNGE, NEWWAVE, COUNTRY, BLUEGRASS, SOUTHERN ROCK, POST GRUNGE, ALTERNATIVE, MOTOWN, R&B, RAP, HIPHOP before 1920's & 1930's & 1940's & 1950's & 1960's
here is the over used ICECAST genre broadcasters Latino, Russian, TOP 40, TOP 100, POP, and maybe Rock
