I've seen two stations share the same transmitter site, and I've seen two transmitters used as relays, but I haven't seen this before.
I operate during the day, and I'm uncomfortable broadcasting at night. However, I have a friend who does a GREAT show, but it's really a night time type show. Also, he wants to do it live, and I don't want him hanging out at my place for a couple of hours every night.
So we've come up with a unique idea, and I want some comments.
He only lives a couple of blocks from me. I'm going to help him set up a facility with the EXACT same equipment I have. That is- the same transmitter, antenna, antenna height, processors, etc. We will operate at the same frequency, but NEVER at the same time. We'll use the same "ID"s and promos. In fact each of us will frequently be heard on the other station. For all intents and purposes we will sound like the same station, at the same location. At a pre-arranged time I'll shut down and he'll turn on his transmitter. He'll do his show, then sign off and shut down.
