Please help by writing out some logs you have of stations you are currently listening to on this forum (not in reply to this post).
Make sure to mention right in the post line if it's SW, FM, AM or something else you are hearing. Since most of us are SWLers, no problem in leaving out that it was a SW station. Most of us will probably be able to tell the difference anyways if you say 650kc or 6925kc or 96.9Mc. If they are broadcasting in LSB/DSB/USB please provide that information. It helps so much when the rest of us try to quickly tune in!
This doesn't have to be just stations that are Pirates either. Though it is always more interesting to read about a pirate stations report, there are many other interesting logs like those DX types from far away, or maybe listening into something so out there you feel others should know about it.
Heck even local little random broadcasts are allowed to be reported on here if you felt it was worthy of reporting on. I admit there were a few times sitting in Walmarts with a radio and people using ipod transmitters that could play a nice list and I just had to talk about how funny I found that to be.
But the real fish are those hardest to get, and those being way out there.
So just report on anything you feel worthy is reporting a reception report on
Speaking "of the devil", it's been agens since I last had the chance of listening to the Du. stn R.Barones - does anyone know whether it's gone?
73, Carlos.
What do you mean by observations exactly?
If you mean generally logging pirates just start a new thread right here in the FRF Log Book subforum. When it comes to conditions of the broadcast bands you can post about that in Radio Phenomena. Unless I am misunderstanding?' If you post in the wrong area one of the moderators will move it for you so no worries. It's a friendly place so don't feel like you are bothering anyone if you don't know where to put something.
Well, I usually call it "observations" while others prefer the term "loggings", and if you check the [Danish] URL I mentioned, then you know what sort of stations I "deal with". While in the right section of that page, viz. "Loggings", my obs./logs are identified by the initials "CG" or "CGS".
From your words, Kage, I take it BC stations are excluded, and that's understandable as the name of the Forum speaks for itself, but I wanted to ask so as to know for sure.
