Just for fun. I use a variety of web browsers. I have my honest opinions and hell I will give them. Firefox seems to actually get the job done. I was a Netscape user way back and yeah it was the AOL browser of nerds, the reality is that Firefox when it came around changed it all. I find that most companies are trying to emulate that look and feel of Firefox. So count me in as a firefox fan.
IE is shit. Nothing more needs to be said. But if I were to say more, I would say while asking you WTF are you thinking? I have only enough respect for IE users as I do your average idiot who buys shit from TV infomercials.
Opera seems like the viable alternative to Firefox, and that's where I find the wars begin. You have either opera or firefox users I find. I still think opera is bloated and slow.
Chrome is tiny and neat, but sucks because it's tiny. I can't do real web browsing using it. It's great at being new and small, but it sucks for being new and small.
I am not a Mac user, so you all need to fill me in here.
I have been a long time Commodore Amiga use, and love Aweb. Obviously the Amiga is long outdated, but I can't stop enjoying it's simple hardware and ability to interface with homebuilt projects.
Internet Explorer, best to uninstall, but hardest piece of software EVER to completely uninstall if using Windows xxxx.
After rigorous testing I find our website works best in Firefox and Chrome. For some reason older Internet Explorer versions have issues with size issues making some of the sites features incorrectly sized. If you experience this problem then you seriously need to get a better web browser. Even some of the most basic browsers display our forums correctly now. I don't know what the deal with IE is. Just thought I'd let you all know.
I'm in Opera 11.51 and everything works here just fine
FF has a bad memory leak for it's Linux version and is a no-go for sites with more than a moderate amount of Javascript :-\ (though 7.x fixed 90% of that)
Whenever a program or app and even an OS has to have repetitive updates for "a remote user can gain access and control" over and over and over again....well one has to stop and really think about a few things. Like after 20 some years of creating an OS and apps for that OS, that the maker would seal all those security holes and issues by now.
Peace!

I'm a Firefox user and will continue to be until anything better comes along.
Anything made by Microsoft is pretty much junk in my opinion and made for the masses who like cutesy graphics, whirlygigs, and general useless "wow" stuff. If anything else in the world worked as poorly as IE, it would have gone out of business in short order.

That has gotten me to thinking many times, and while I am no conspiracy theorist, I figure those holes are there to the benefit of the virus and malware companies.
Think about it: If the virus writers keep pumping out bigger, and better viruses, then the malware companies can sell more programs to fight them. The freeware versions NEVER find anything wrong with your machine. I even wonder if they don't import some junk that sleeps in the background for a bit then pops up later to torment you into buying malware removal software.
Maybe that's why some *nix proggies are from the late 90's and despite still being maintained, released no updates.... they were written right the first time around?
