From everything I read, AM transmitters for 1610KHz and below need good grounding and/or radials. Well odd thing is that I just built this little 10 watt mosfet broadcast transmitter and it gives me a much better signal using NO grounding. Even the wall plug to the power supply lacks a ground pin.
How can this be? When I do use a good ground system the signal doesn't get out as far. I find this very odd. Can someone please explain why this is?
The circuit is built a lot like the Grenade transmitter design but parts are values that work on BC band instead.
