For about a month now, my station's internet streams are carrying the audio directly from a Sony ST-JX220A AM Stereo/FM Stereo receiver.
The "reception reports" have been great! The sound is taken directly from the line out's on the receiver and fed into the encoding computer.
The exciter is an ASMAX-1 C-QUAM (400mW version) driving an LPB-30 AM transmitter which drives the TCU-30 coupler onto the neutral of the power grid.
All 3 streams are carrying the C-QUAM audio. What you hear is an actual AM stereo radio's line level audio over the streams.
In a few weeks I will be adding a 4th stream carrying my FM Stereo station's audio from a Sony ST-JX220 AM/FM Stereo receiver, the "US" counterpart to the ST-JX220A. The US version did not have AM Stereo reception capability.
It's natural AM C-QUAM stereo sound from a full 10Khz wide band AM stereo receiver!
Just visit my station's website and select the bitrate and player flavor of your choice right below the very top K-Rocks banner.
Enjoy, and would appreciate "reception reports"! (how's the sound, suggestions etc).
Peace!
