Thanks kage for the response and yes on the taking the airwaves lol now how hell do i build one what parts do i need or is it the same like if you build a quarter GP your just extending the mast and radials also il be using a 50ohm rg8 cable 100ft
I would just look at some ham radio articles on designing one from scratch. All you would have to do is recalculate a few things to get the antenna length, coil winding and so on for the FM broadcast band.
If you search for 2 meter ham 5/8 homemade antenna ideas you can find lots of projects online. Of course 2 meter ham band is around 145MHz so to get down to 88 to 108MHz requires some recalculation. This applies to either antenna types. Also a search for "online 5/8 wave antenna calculator" should pop up a few free web applications to automatically calculate the lengths you need for a given frequency.
If you have never built an antenna before I would start with a simple dipole just for educational purposes so you get the hang of things, then move up to a more complex antenna like the 5/8 wave. Then you will have a backup antenna also

Kage Thanks for your help man ok so i understand im gonna get more ground distance with 5/8 GP quation is can i build one with a SO-239 and how long do the radials and mast have to be also how in the HELL do i make a loading coil lol i appreciate the help
OK sooo after months working and trying to figure it out I GOT IT whooo i went with a quarter wave GP antenna using a so-235 and 14G copper wire works great get about apox 2 miles coverage witch is way more then enough to cover my small town thanks for all the help and if anybody else want more info about this type of antenna im here to help just hit me up
