Curious if anyone here still has subscriptions to hobby magazines for electronics or communications and which ones are even around anymore?
I used to get Popular Electronics until they changed to Poptronics and became ridden with advertisements. Sad really because that magazine was a favorite of mine when I was younger.
Lately I have been checking out Nuts & Volts which seems like they are picking up where Poptronics left off. Most of the articles in their magazine are digital circuit related but still a cool tech magazine.
Others I used to get occasionally were Popular Communications, CQ, and even Linux Journal.
Sadly all the stores around here have discontinued selling these publications and instead all that I see now is popstar garbage, cooking, and maybe a woodworking or gardening magazine thrown in for good measure. I miss the days when the stores actually carried magazines for techy stuff and hobbyists.
Rant aside, any magazines you guys still get? Recommendations?
