Just picked up a cool SSM-60 from a friend who paid $1 at a garage sale. Surprisingly the POTs are all noise free and it works perfect outside of the meters light being dead, but I replaced that with a white LED bulb that I sanded the outside of so that it disperses the light evenly across the meters.
I am kind of surprised by this mixer, it has good quality audio, nice flat response with the EQs set to center, and the cross fader is a nice extra. Only thing I miss about my old mixer is to multi-cue, but I guess in reality you only ever need to cue one channel in practice.
Here is a very short video of me playing with the mixer, youtube may remove audio because of (C) bullshit but..
This sure beats the hell out of my old Realistic mixer lol. Yeah I know I am using shit for audio equipment but I make the best of what I have. Besides no one listening ever knows what brand of equipment you are using. Be it homemade or the best quality stuff ever made, if it sounds the same, no one notices.
So what is everyones take on Ratshack mixers? I have read the good and the bad on some of their mixers, but this little bugger is gonna be pushed into full service and I need to know if anyone has owned same/similar and had any issues before I run into them.

I used it for mixing sound for my public access show. It got the job done. Still have it and plan on testing it out for some soundtrack music making here soon.
