I use the Stereo Tool program for audio processing as well as stereo and RDS generation.
This setup works well and I am pretty happy with it except for one thing:
there is a faint but noticeable high-pitch whine I am hearing in the transmitted audio, but goes away once MPX is turned off in Stereo Tool.
Does anyone else have experience with Stereo Tool and know why there is a high-pitch whine when MPX is turned on in Stereo Tool? I am using the PC's built in on-board Realtek sound-card which is set to 192 Khz.
Maybe make sure the pilot 19kHz level is at the right level? Never used stereo tool but I'd suspect if the pilot is turned up it could generate harmonics down into the audio range with high pitch squeals. Are you able to figure out what frequency the whine is?

Try to be sure your pilot is injecting 8-10% into the main carrier (9% is "normal"....). A calibrated (stereo) mod monitor will be a GREAT help here!!! Good luck!
