Searched for "Noisy Fan" and didn't find an answer. ST-15B is typical Made In China low power transmitter product, with the typical *very* noisy fan.
I'm unable to isolate the xmtr so I'm in search of a quality, quiet replacement fan. Ideal would be a same size, simple screw in replacement fan. Suggestions?

I'll answer my own thread here as it may address the same concern someone else has down the line.
I opened up my ST-15B and measured the noisy fan size and voltage.
Fan size is 40mm x 40mm x 10mm /12v with a 2 wire connector.
Today I ordered the quietest one I could find online - It'll be under $9 USD delivered.
My fan is likely close spec'd to most all similar transmitter products coming from China.
Just un-doing a few screws accessed the innards. I'll post how new fan works later!
Note: Fan is essential to keeping the chip cool. Opening up case and running w/o fan, relying on ambient air to cool heatsink does not cut it. It gets hot fast.
New fan arrived & promptly replaced the offending one. Took out a shitload of noise and brought things down to a more tolerable level. Still not perfect. I record voice in the room as well and I can tell I'll have to move the unit to a different room.
As an aside, I replaced the ac/dc converter I received with the transmitter with a Radio Shack/Archer regulated 13.8v power supply I had laying around and there certainly is a significant reduction of noise in the broadcast signal.
That's all I'm going to do with the ST-15B. I notice at it's low power setting (1.5 watts) it does not project as far as the previous, failed xmtr that put out a more realistic 1.2 watts.
