I want to offer a tip for both senior and newbie broadcasters that came to me natural. DID you know that broadcasting in AAC or AAC+ in encoding format in 64kbps .Can sound on professional audio equipment just like a 128kbps-320kbps stream only using half to 4 times LESS DATA per second? on both your listeners AND you?
I don't know about you but I am on a budget and broadcast commercial free. and broadcasting in 64kbps in AAC OR AAC+ format encoding does my own online radio station wonders and cost less than if I were to upgrade my host to a 128k stream because I BROADCAST IN AAC+ in 64kbps only
while other stations that broadcast in MP3 or other encodings in 128kbps to 320kpbs sound exactly like mine no joke. My recordings are technically in lossless though but those are the musical recording not my DJ talking.
AAC and AAC+ encoder setting my require you to pay for a professional version of your encoder software but I think it is worth it in the long run. MP3 format is old school, AAC is newer and AAC+ is even newer format and all it is is a setting on some encoder software's you can download for your online radio station.
I don't use audodj I prefer to use an online broadcast encoder to connect with my host, the only downside is that you may not be able to see all or any of the headcount on how many people are listening ever.
But you can use Glasswire and calculate security data with a calculator going by how many kbps your stream is minus 1 listener for the data getting expelled to only your host if you are using an exterior host like Casthost to put your station online. or send it to the Internet to be heard.
How many of your heard of AAC or AAC+ broadcasting format?
