Ever dreamed of having your vary own radio station? And you have a ton of digital or physical music or audio recordings at your fingertips. Well with this host all you need is a spare PC, with an OS, and a wired broadband internet connection wire connected to it, and a broadcast encoder software and a valid media player software to get started.
But even if you don't have a media player or a broadcast encoder? this company in the link below called (CastHost) will help your first live broadcast get setup within 3 hours or less most times. They have a live chat agent that helps you do this by chatting, offering advice and web links. And he or she works about 8-10 hours on mostly weekdays from about 9:00AM(EST) to usually about 5:00PM-6:00PM (EST)
they might work on weekends too I think I chatted with them on Saturday too before?
they only charge $16.50 per month and offer UNLIMTED LISTENRS AND UNLIMITED BANDWITH. but your audodj is only 5GB but I find audodj is only useful when your server is down or offline because a server holds way more data usually than audodj and with better quality sound you can always upgrade your audodj? but it will cost more each month to do so.
$16.50 per month is for only for 64k per second stream but if all your recordings are in AAC or AAC+ the sound will be the same even on someone's professional audio equipment as a 128k-320k MP3 stream. due to the technologies found in a AAC or AAC+ format vs mp3 format
all this is is a switch setting on your broadcasting encoder software that may only be available if you first pay for the FULL VERSION of the encoder software.
I call it a switch but I STILL I highly recommend you rip or download your music or audio recordings into the best quality possible before using 64k and AAC or AAC+
CastHost does all the rest of the work minus keeping your own server malware and troll free
with this company you can even broadcast out of your own homes I also recommend having an ASCAP blanket license before you get started as well CastHost handles the ASCAP sessions as well automatically
(edit) for @kage
I just wanted the admin and his crew of forum members to know that YOU DON'T need an ASCAP license by law for online radio, but that was my own personal choice. most of the artist I play are dead and buried in their graves anyway, I just chosen to pay. it only cost $310.00 a year,
but also note that I'm on disability so I don't really earn my spending cash so I can see why you guys don't want one. Because you don't really need one but at the same time it's not a good idea in my opinion to sail the airwaves without one, because you could get in trouble and all your work and fun destroyed if someone complains
