Freedom of the press seems to have a pretty cool tool from Warner RF China, ranging from the "Professional" FMT-30L (under $500) to the FMT-1kW. I've actually got my eye on the FMT-30A, which is constructed on the taller 2U chassis and would allow power upgrades o 1kW. I see these things all over eBay. Snap in another amplifier. I dunno, looks like a whole lotta bang for the private Federal Reserve Note to me.
The Warner RF Professional-series is based on the same FME-1B exciter. A 27VDC, 30 Watt RF amplifier in the 1U-form, FMT-30L, or the 2U-form, 27 volt 30W RF amp, or 48VDC, 80, 150, 300, 500 and 1000 Watt RF amplifiers. One of five radiators are selected. The FMT-30L 30W low-profile radiator, the 2U FMT-case 30W-80W radiator, 150W radiator, 300W radiator and the 500 - 1kW radiator.
The 1U FMT-30L is a low profile unit that does not lend itself to upgrades, but the FMT-30A sure seems to fill the bill.
Has anyone experienced the latest Warner RF Professional-series transmitters?

Greetings r3volution !
I too have been eyeballing these transmitters ! I am saving up some $ in order to purchase one of the FMT-30L's myself, they look damn impressive to me ! Of course, I will simply build my own RF Power Amplifier in order to get the output up to the level required to cover my desired contour area. Right now I am running a generic ST-15B Chinese transmitter set for 75 us pre-emphasis and a homebrew 60 watt 'brick' rf power amp at 60 watts to the ground plane antenna, works damn fine !! I have about a 30 mile contour circumference.. Please do let us know if you purchase one of these and your thoughts are most welcomed !
73... Rock On !... Spooky...
