Greetings To All !
I am experimenting with a few software audio processing programs written for Windows 7 ~ 10.. They all utilize ASIO drivers, While I am beyond fairly adapt at software use and computers, I could really use some input on setting up the software in relation to the ASIO drivers and using a 'Virtual Audio Cable' used by one or two of the software programs I am working with. I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who may be able to offer assistance !
Thanks ! Spooky..

I have set many of these systems up, and if the soundcard cannot do ASIO at all things get more complicated. and if its, for instance, a cheap onboard realtek etc soundcard, you can still get by, but you have to "hack" audio routing using the "Listen" tab in the soundcard properties.
ideally, your Audio Processor will be flexible on format and not force you to use ASIO for the output and select the more common, WMD - windows media device - a protocol that supports ALL sound-cards that work with windows.
if it doesn't support non-ASIO cards, you are still in luck, because Virtual sound cards are extremely flexible. The one I prefer hands down is the Telos "Omnia" card. I'm not 100% sure on the licensing but they used to have it as a free download in a tab on the site for the Omnia A/Xe processor. I can't find it again though.
in any case - you're using VB - it looks like the charts I made will still apply, but they use letters instead of numbers (i.e. input A instead of input 1-2) also, if you don't use multiple play-outs from automation the task will be simpler as well. I always used multiple outs, its the best way to make automation fades and hotkeys work smoothly.
hit me up with any additional questions, ill look for that Omnia V-card again this weekend. (found the Download site.) ATTACHED:

Greetings Tester !
Brother, you are a Godsend ! I am certain that I will need to pick your brain ! I have a pretty good understanding of basic driver concepts, software, PC's (extensive background), soyou shouldn't have to handle me as a complete novice whatsoever ! lol ! My father's funeral is today but as soon as I get back to some form of normalcy in the next couple of days I will message you in more detail of my plan's/intentions, station gear lineup, et al., as it relates to eventual integration here. I have been tooling around and researching the Creative Soundblaster ASIO capable internal and external sound cards. I don't wish to blow any big $$ on a new sound card but the Creative Labs selections available currently are easily within my budget if one may be required to implement one of the software processor packages I have been interested in. I will elaborate on the several I have been exploring and if you have any recommendations outside the scope of what I will mention, please, I would really appreciate your input and any suggestions you may be able to offer ! 73 for now, I'm really looking forward to BS'ing with you on this subject !! Thank You !!
